DHAKA, Feb 9, 2015 (BSS) - Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Advocate Anisul Haque said the government will ensure the punishment of the alleged miscreants who are now involved with terrorist activities after completion of their trial within next six months.

"The only way to rein in the terrorism is to ensure punishment to the culprits within shortest possible time", said the minister.

The minister said this as chief guest while he was addressing a discussion on the occasion of birth anniversary of Prof Kabir Chowdhury here today. Ekatturer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee ("Committee for Resisting Killers & Collaborators of the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971") arranged the programme.

Presided over by vice-president of the Nirmul Committee Prof Muntasir Mamun, the meeting also addressed, among others, by National Human Rights Commission Chairman Dr Mizanur Rahman, Major General (retd) Abdur Rashid, Chairman of Nari Progati Sanga Rokeya Kabir.
