MJMF Soccer tournament held in Devon BPCA Champion & BHESA Runners-up

Soccer fans of expatriate Bangladeshi community in Alberta enjoyed a tournament that was held at the Town of Devon on August 16th. The Town of Devon was warmed up with a cheerful Bangladesh Children Festival 2014 of Bangladesh Heritage and Ethnic Society of Alberta (BHESA). Hundreds of Bangladeshi people with their families and friends gathered in that small town while Mahinur Jahid Memorial Foundation (MJMF) sponsored a Soccer tournament.

Bangladesh PressClub Centre of Alberta (BPCA) won the tournament by 4-2 goals with the Bangladesh Heritage and Ethnic Society of Alberta (BHESA). BPCA soccer team was led by Tanvir Hasan and BHESA team by Ahsan Ullah, Bishwajit of BPCA become Man of the Match and the highest goal giver was Taif of BPCA.

The Players of the teams were: BPCA- Tanvir, Taif, Tomal, Sanjib, Biswajit & other BHESA: Ahsan, Harun, Sarwar, Kauser, Syfur, Anam and others.

Eminent Journalist Delwar Jahid, President of Bangladesh Heritage and Ethnic Society of Alberta (BHESA) presided the Trophy distribution ceremony and addressed the players while Dr. Hafizur Rahman of University of Alberta distributed the trophies among the winners and the participating players.
