Canada, October 25, 2014 (BHESA): Bangladesh Heritage & Ethnic Society of Alberta held a colorful Eid Reunion program in a joyful environment at the Pleaseantview Community Hall of Edmonton yesterday evening.
The program includes discussion, dance, music, certificate distribution, fashion show, and serving of Deshi foodsof different varieties. In the welcoming remarks by Tomal Islam, VP BHESA stressed on the importance of Eid festival.
In the inaugural speech eminent journalist and president of Bangladesh Heritage & Ethnic Society of Alberta Delwar Jahid, stressed the need to develop the youth leadership in abroad and make them worthy citizen. He called the contribution of youth in the liberation war and every movement of Bangladesh. He said youth should be inspired to take leadership in the community organization.
Mr. Sohail Quadri (PC) Member of the Legislative Assembly for Edmonton-Mill Woods and Secretary to the Premier of Alberta was present as Chief Guest. While Md. Siddique Hossain, language movement hero of Bangladesh was present as guest of honour. President BHESA handover Edmonton Bichitra 2014 to the Chief Guest which is jointly edited by Syfur Hasan and Andy Strohkirch.
BHESA received official greeting messages from The Honourable Gene Zwozdesky is The Speaker of the Alberta Legislative Assembly, Mr. Sohail Quadri (PC) MLA, Moe Amery (PC) Member of the Legislative Assembly for Calgary-East, Mrs. Janice Sarich (PC) Member of the Legislative Assembly for Edmonton-Decore and Dr. David Swann, MLA, Calgary Mountain View.
Inaugural song sang by Nirjor Choudhury and in tablas Bikash Talukdar, Michael Jackson's dance was performed by Tomal Islam, and comedy jokes by Muhammad Ismail.
The Fashion Show with local dance were performed by Tomal Islam, Anumur Rahman Miae, Shafiqul Islam, Sabree Araz Haider, Farjana Islam, Riya Karin, Dollin Islam, Nancy Narayan that was directed and assisted by Farhana Islam and Ahsan Ullah .
The teenage singer Chamili Laskar sang 3 Bangla song and recitation of poem of Sunil Gangopadhyay's' ...the way I live, by Dr. Sheikh Jalil. He also recited his own poems and Nazia Natasha Rahman performed couple of songsthat inspired the audience.
Delwar Jahid, President BHESA distributed certificates among the participants of Mahinur Jahid Memrial Foundation Cricket and Soccer Matchof2014with thefollowing participants:

BHESA president also, distributed certificates among all the youth participants of the events.
Management of the food for huge gathering was conducted by Mohd. Ismail and Dr. Hafizur Rahman and assisted by Noor-e-Alam and Zulfiquer Ahmed Taif. All the volunteers of BHESA worked hard to make the event successful.
